Shannon Hauge is unlike any librarian you may have met before.
It’s obvious the moment you enter the library at the Ray School and hear students laughing, talking and interacting with a variety of hands-on activities inside the area dubbed the “makerspace.”
“The library space is evolving,” said Ray Superintendent Ben Schafer. “It’s not the quiet library you grew up in. The librarian is no longer the person who ‘shushes.’”
