Tioga Science Teacher Deb Moe calls the notion that girls aren’t as into science “a farce.”
But she does think students of each sex approach science fair projects a little differently.
Generally, “The boys like bigger booms, the rockets and things like that,” she said, while girls’ projects tend to be more about ideas.
Both types of projects were on display Wednesday last week, as seventh- and eighth-grade students stood beside report boards prepared to explain the outcome of their experiments to judges.
