Over 59 years, the success of Tioga’s Farm Festival has hinged on one constant: the desire of people in town to celebrate the larger farm community and the youth that will keep both farm and town strong in the future.
This year’s event brought out first-timers and Farm Festival veterans alike.
“I see the police!” declares little Maci Moe, straining to look up Tioga’s Main Street, as she waits for the parade to begin.
“They’re going to throw out candy to us,” answers Aubrey Volbrecht, as the whistle of a passing train lends another layers of excitement to the celebratory air.
