Tioga Legion falls to Crosby

An early deficit plagued Tioga’s American Legion baseball team as the Pirates fell 11-1 to host Crosby on Thursday afternoon.
Crosby took a first-inning lead that it did not relinquish. After starting pitcher Luke Uhlich retired the first batter, the next two reached base on a triple and walk and scored on an error and passed ball, respectively.
In the third, Uhlich walked Crosby’s Chris Johnson before Isaac Ellingson doubled and Grant Kocher reached base on an error. All three scored on errors, and Rylan Fennell later drove in Jaden Holm on a fielder’s choice for a six-run lead.
