Softball teams win
Sierra Grote went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple and four RBIs in the Crosby 18U softball team’s 11-10 victory over Plentywood on June 23.
“Plentywood had the tying run at second base but the girls got the final out to pick-up their first 18U slowpitch win of the season,” coach Bob Gillen said.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Sierra and Ally Grote each had two RBIs, but Plentywood took an 11-9 decision.
“All 11 Plentywood runs in this game were unearned runs,” Gillen said. “We committed seven errors as a team in the five-inning game, which cost us.”
