A recent look at the Divide County school properties may not give the impression construction crews and equipment will be out of the way in time for the first day of classes Aug. 23, but School District Superintendent Sherlock Hirning said the scene is going to “change drastically” between now and then.
“The plan is to be ready for school to start,” he said Friday. “A lot of things have to happen before then.”
The elementary school addition is wrapping up and will be usable right away.
“The classrooms are available to be occupied,” Hirning said, “just maybe with a temporary door,” as the actual doors have yet to arrive.
