From a tiny acorn mighty oak trees grow. Or, in Lucy and Hank Frandsen’s case, a pumpkin patch.
“When we first started my family and neighbors were skeptical,” Lucy said. “They said, ‘no one’s going to drive down a gravel road to a pumpkin patch.’”
That was two years ago. From humble beginnings using an RV as a restroom to now making plans to insulate and possibly pave the floor in the shop they built with bathroom facilities, Frandsen said, she feels vindicated.
“We proved them wrong,” she said.
