Divide County Commissioners last week set a new priority for snow removal after winter storms, declaring school bus routes will be a priority.
Previously, no formal policy existed to dictate which roads get plowed first. The issue was raised after Divide County School Superintendant Sherlock Hirning contacted County Road Foreman Bryan Haugenoe, concerning school bus routes being opened after Christmas break.
“We weren’t able to get down some roads to pick up kids,” Hirning said.
