The identity of a buyer for city land in Crosby’s Southridge Acres is now public following the release of several documents from city hall.
Though a purchase agreement released last week doesn’t specifically name a retailer, an engineer’s request received at City Hall Monday seeks information in planning a Family Dollar store location.
The real estate firm named in the purchase agreement is connected to a construction company specializing in the development of commercial properties for companies, including the Family Dollar chain, according to information publicly available on the Internet.
The identity of the firm -- and the store potentially interested in a Crosby location -- was unknown to at least three members of the city council at the time the deal was discussed at a meeting last week.
