Jorin Kragness just wanted to give his sister a ride home to Wildrose when he stopped at the westernmost rail crossing in Crosby on Wednesday, waiting on a train to go by.
“I was sitting there and I heard a big ‘pop,’” he said.
Whether that was the sound of the track buckling or grain cars spilling open, the result was a whole lot of grain on the ground, directly north of the Lund Construction compound.
“I’m glad it’s not my job to clean it up,” quipped Divide County Deputy Rob Melby.
