Neale L. Spooner, 84, Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away February 3, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 6, 1936, in Noonan, to Louis & Gladys (Brodal) Spooner. He worked on the family farm and Spooner Lumber Company until he went to college.

He graduated from NDSU in 1958, with a Civil Engineering Degree. After graduation he went to Libby, Montana, to work for the Forest Service. While working for the Forest Service he designed and built many roads and campgrounds in Montana and North Dakota.

His work took him to many different construction projects throughout the United States; Iowa, Kansas, Florida, New York, California and Nevada. One of his most memorable projects was managing the construction of the new Carver Arena for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by wife, Cathy Spooner; children Jeffrey (Judy) Spooner, Darrin (Sharon) Spooner, Robert (Shlaine) Spooner, James (Susan)

Fraser, Kim Alexander, Dawn (Barry) Hampton and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceeded in death by parents, his siblings Joan (Dale) Clemens and Glen (Barbara) Spooner, He never met a stranger and always had a story or a joke to tell.
