Pirates swept by Watford, Stanley

The Tioga Pirates showed fight before ultimately succumbing to Watford City in three sets Sept. 8.
Scores of the match were 25-14, 25-15 and 25-9.
Junior Tayla Dean led the Pirates with four kills. She also led the THS defensive effort with six digs.
Nicole Postovit tallied six assists for Tioga.
The Pirates also proved no match for the Stanley Blue Jays, as the hosts swept the Pirates 25-9, 25-17, 25-15 on Thursday evening at Stanley High School. Stats were not available.
After playing at Divide County last night, the Pirates have moved their next game, on Sept. 24, to Kenmare due to continued work on the Tioga High School gym floor.
The Pirates now hope to hold their home opener Sept. 29 vs. Powers Lake.
