It was a long weekend for postal workers in Tioga. After nearly two years of planning, the post office moved across the street to its new home at the former Hegstad Furniture building.
“It’s going to be great for our city,” said Betty Pepple as she picked up her mail last Friday. She said she’s seen the post office grow with the city since she moved to Tioga in 1952.
Pepple is looking forward to the new building having easier access and parking.
Postmaster Marie Vasquez said post office workers put in an extra 140 hours and were joined by workers from Minot and Williston, to complete the move.
