The Divide County volleyball team finished 2-2 at the Northwest Conference tournament Saturday in Glenburn.
DC opened with losses of 25-17, 25-19 to Berthold and 25-14, 25-5 to Ray, then won 25-16, 25-15 over Trenton and 22-25, 25-9 over New Town.
The Maroons fell short of advancing to the knockout rounds.
Lauryn Heide and Ashlyn Bailey led the Maroons with five kills each in the tournament; Heide and MaKenzie Knudson each had six blocks. Other statistical leaders were Katelynn Power-Akers with nine aces and McKenzie Hallgren with 21 digs.

Maroons sweep Pirates
The Maroons picked up a win Thursday night, defeating Tioga in a sweep, 25-8, 25-17, 25-16.
Heide led the offense with three kills. Power-Akers put up three assists, while Knudson had two blocks.
“They were working together as a team,” coach Brittany Harward said. “They’re not quite peaking yet, but they’re getting there.”
The Maroons started with a 9-1 run in the first set and quickly turned a 4-0 second-set deficit into an 11-6 lead it wouldn’t relinquish.
DC also came out to an 11-1 lead in the third set and held on, though Tioga closed it to four at 20-16. A kill by Bailey put her up to serve the next four points to secure the victory.
Maroons suffer 3-0 setback
Ray downed the Maroons by a 3-0 margin, 25-6, 25-17, 25-13, on Oct. 4 in a District 16 matchup at Ray.
Bailey, Power-Akers and Bekka Bummer led the Maroons with three kills each.
Heide had her squad’s lone block and two service aces and added a team-high 19 digs.
