He left it on the field, but gets it back

There’s an axiom in sports about extending maximum effort.

“Leaving it all on the field” is meant to be a good thing. But for one high school football player in the Oct. 6 game between Divide County and MLS, leaving it on the field wasn’t positive.

Rhyder Jorgenson, a sophomore on the Mavericks football team, lost his cross during the contest.

While wearing jewelry during games isn’t allowed under NDHSAA rules, exceptions are made for religious purposes.
