A severe thunderstorm Thursday seemingly came out of nowhere, producing little result in the heart of Divide County, but impacting people from Scobey, Mont., to Wildrose.
According to meteorologist April Cooper of the National Weather Service in Bismarck, the same cell produced lightning that injured two employees of a custom combine crew with local ties and also dumped three inches of rain and ping pong-size hail near Wildrose.
“It exploded again in Ward County,” said Cooper, causing more impacts to the east.
