An advertisement for bids for construction of a Divide County Courthouse addition ended last week with a private bid opening that was set for yesterday, March 22.
Construction Engineers, the firm hired as construction managers of the project, called for the bids to be delivered to Grand Forks by the closing date.
Deputy Auditor Robin Chaffee said Divide County Commissioners are not expected to look at the material until their regular meeting April 5.
The bid advertisement outlines construction of a 26,000 square foot addition and a 3,500 square foot renovation of the existing Divide County Courthouse -- including concrete, masonry, precast, steel, rough and finish carpentry, doors and windows, mechanical and electrical systems, and more.
The bid calls for a construction start in April with completion of the project by August 2017.
